Rachel Zegler as Snow White looking worried in new Disney film – easy news

Snow White and Rachel Zegler: Why People Are Angry (Level 2)

Posted on 31.03.2025

Many people are talking about a new Snow White film. Rachel Zegler is the actress who plays Snow White. People have different opinions about her and the movie.

Rachel Zegler is 23 years old. She is very famous now because of this film. But not all of the talk is good. Some people say negative things about her, while others defend her.

Why is there an argument?

The new Snow White movie was released recently by Disney. Many people did not like it. Film critics gave it bad reviews. It did okay in America, but the film didn’t make as much money as people hoped.

Some people on social media blamed Rachel Zegler. They said her comments and opinions hurt the movie. Even the son of the movie’s producer said that Rachel hurt the film because she brought her personal ideas into it.

How did it all start?

Problems began earlier, even before the movie came out. Some people were angry because Rachel Zegler, who is Latina, played Snow White. In the original story, Snow White is described as having skin “white as snow.”

In 2022, Rachel made comments about the original story, saying it felt old-fashioned and needed changes. She also said she didn’t like that the original story focused too much on romance.

Some people liked her ideas, but others were upset. Newspapers and some movie fans called her comments too political. They blamed her for being part of “woke culture”—meaning caring too much about political correctness.

Rachel’s Political Opinions

Rachel often shared her opinions about politics online. For example, she once said she supported Palestine. She also criticized former US president Donald Trump and people who voted for him.

Rachel later apologized for her strong words about politics. Some people said she did the right thing by speaking honestly, but others thought she was making problems worse.

Why does this matter?

Some film experts think Rachel was treated unfairly because she is a young actress and a woman of color. One critic said that young actors from different backgrounds often get unfairly attacked on social media.

Another film critic said Rachel should not have talked so much about politics. She believes that made things harder for the film and the audience.

What happens next for Rachel?

Rachel Zegler has new projects coming up. Soon she will star in another film, “Evita,” and also appear in children’s TV shows. Many people think Rachel is talented and will continue acting successfully.

A film critic named Luxford said, “I don’t know if she will do another Disney film soon, but she’s a very talented actress.”
