Three Australian cities are now in the top 10 most liveable cities in the world. These cities are Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide. People say that life in these cities is very good, not just because of the weather.

In the past, European cities were always at the top of the list. But now, Australian cities are getting more attention. These cities have great hospitals, schools, nature, and many fun things to do. Let’s learn more about them.

Melbourne: A City of Coffee, Culture, and Sports

Melbourne is number four in the world. It has excellent education and healthcare. People love the mix of cultures.

Dani Feludu says that Melbourne is very multicultural. You can find food from all over the world. She lives in the suburbs and can walk to many restaurants that serve food like Thai, Mexican, Turkish, and more.

Melbourne is also famous for its coffee. Katherine Tuominen says people love going to cafes to drink coffee and talk. This culture started with Italian immigrants in the 1950s.

Bondi Beach is popular in Sydney. Alice Moore says she goes running at the beach at 5:00 AM. Then she swims, takes a sauna, and drinks coffee. All of this happens before 7:00 AM!

Sydney also has great food. You can eat Japanese BBQ, Korean food, and fresh seafood. Amanda Bolger says the new Sydney Fish Market will open soon. It will show the best seafood in Australia.

Amanda also suggests taking a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. This is a good way to see the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

Adelaide: Peaceful and Connected

Adelaide is now in the top 10 for the first time. It is the capital of South Australia. People say Adelaide is simple, clean, and easy to live in.

Cheryl Monkhouse says life is not stressful in Adelaide. Public transport works well, and her children use it every day.

Erin Carey lives in the Adelaide Hills. She sees kangaroos and koalas near her house. She says she can go to the city, beach, or a winery in less than one hour.
