Some hotel rooms are very small. But they are also very special! People sleep in these tiny rooms to try something new and fun. Let’s look at eight of the most interesting small hotel rooms in the world.

A Sleep Lab – Japan

Nine Hours is a hotel in Japan. People sleep here and the hotel checks their sleep. It gives them a report about how well they sleep. The hotel is very clean and modern. Each room is a small sleeping pod. The hotel name means you stay 9 hours: 7 hours for sleep, and 2 hours to wash and get ready.

Cliff Hotel – Peru

In Peru, you can sleep in a clear pod on a mountain. The hotel is called Skylodge Adventure Suites. To get there, you must climb high or use zip lines. At night, you can sleep with a view of the stars. In the morning, you drink tea on your private balcony. The sister hotel, Starlodge, has hot tubs outside.

Colorful Desert Hotel – Colombia

In the desert in Colombia, there is a hotel called Tubo Hotel, La Tatacoa. The rooms are made from big sewer pipes, painted in bright colors. They are small but have air conditioning. There is a swimming pool too. The hotel is in a quiet place with nature, stars, and fresh air.

In Singapore, the hotel KINN Capsule is very quiet and calm. The design is soft and pretty. The walls are peach color, and the beds have white sheets. There are nice smells in the air, like flowers. There are 72 sleeping pods in the hotel. It feels peaceful, like a Zen place.

Book Hotel – China

In China, an old farmhouse became a small hotel. It is also a bookstore and library. The rooms are between bookshelves. The beds are small and made of bamboo. There are stairs that go up and down in a zigzag way. The view from the hotel is beautiful.

Cupboard Beds – Netherlands

In Amsterdam, there is a hotel called De Bedstee Hotel. The beds are inside cupboards! This style is from old Dutch homes. The design is fun and colorful. Guests climb a ladder to sleep in a small bed hidden behind a door. You can also walk to the Rembrandt House Museum nearby.

In Tokyo, there is a hotel called Resol Poshtel. It is clean and nice. It smells like orange and flowers. The rooms are small, but they give you slippers, a toothbrush, and more. The design is like old Japanese tea rooms. You sleep behind a curtain. The hotel is near a big temple and many shops.
